I've been contemplating the same and had heard of Ghost already. I'll check it out as well.

I like it. The price is right for me. My audience is small right now. There is a lot more to this, and the tools are great. There is a lot you can do. It really feels like a good replacement. Offprint is a nice tool for my personal stuff as well. It is designed for writers and, to be honest, feels a little like old-school Livejournal.

Once things settle down on my end, I'll go with dedicated domains. However, to make the switch quick, it is good for now.

I can't afford Ghost's fee right now, but I'll keep it in mind. I may just have to go back to my WordPress. What I liked about Substack was the inbuilt community and discovery, and I can't find something similar elsewhere.

Yeah, that’s a downside: the expense. I got lucky with Offprint because they were offering a deal through July: if you paid for a year account, Bluesky was giving you the first two months free.

So basically I have a year contract for just 50 bucks. Which is really good, but not as bad as the full-year subscription, which is 70.

I’m still getting the feel for OffPrint, but so far it seems very friendly. The beta features you get access to with a subscription also look promising. It
